Civil Engineering Construction Joint-Stock Company No. 525 (abbreviated as CIENCO 525) was equitized from Construction Company 525 under the Transport Construction Corporation 5 - Ministry of Transport under Decision No. 4029/QD - BGTVT dated December 26, 2002 of the Minister of Transport.
After almost 60 years of formation and development, the company is showing its mettle of a heroic unit during the resistance war and national reconstruction and rehabilitation. CIENCO 525 has completed more than 1,000 projects of technical infrastructure, traffic, and wharf across the country. In addition to its rich experience and strong financial ability, CIENCO 525 owns numerous modern and integrated equipment including balanced cantilever rig, large diameter bored pile drill truck that can deploy drills in any geological conditions, cable tensioning equipment (front and back), Formwork system of all
kinds and beams, etc. CIENCO 525 can construct continuous cantilever bridges with spans from 60 meter to 150 meter and width up to 20m, or seaport works with a capacity of up to 20,000 DWT. We can construct all kinds of piles (with a diameter of up to 1.0m) and bored piles (with a diameter of 1.5m and a depth of up to 90m).
With advanced technology, modern construction equipment, experienced engineers, and enthusiastic and skilled workers, CIENCO 525 has participated in the construction of a large number of Bridge, Road and Ports project with large-scale technical infrastructure accross the country and many projects in the Lao
People's Democratic Republic.
Due to its merits and achievements in construction activities during the war as well as in the period of national construction and development, the Company was awarded by the State:

- The title of Independence Medal (2014)
- The title of the First Class Labor Medal (2007); Second Class (1992 and 1996) And many other certificates of merit, certificates of merit from competent agencies and ministries.

FORMATION & DEVELOPMENT
1965 – 1975 Period
Construction for national defense
This is a historical period full of heroic spirit of Youth volunteering in production and defense of the country. Initially, the 25th Youth volunteering Team is under Nam Ha Provincial Youth Union Team. It was for paving and maintaining roads, ensuring traffic on key routes to the west of Quang Binh, especially 20 Quyet Thang Street. In addition its 800 members, in 1967 Team 25 was added 200 more “second term” volunteers from Ha Tay and Thanh Hoa provinces, and placed under the comprehensive leadership of Construction Board 67 (Ministry of Transport). , at the same time under the direct leadership of the 14th Army, 559th Division (Ministry of Defense) in 1972 with 200 more “third term” volunteers of the two provinces of Thai Binh and Hai Phong.
1975 – 1985 Period
Construction for recovery and rehabilitation
In many years of war, the country’s infrastructure was degraded and badly damaged that needed to be repaired. With that task, the employees of Company 525 have promoted the heroic tradition, overcome difficulties and challenges, and participated in the reconstruction of the country. by meaningful works such as upgrading National Highway 1A from Nam Quan Hau to Vinh Chap (Vinh Linh, Quang Tri); building and upgrading railway and road bridges on National Highway 1A from Da Nang to Binh Dinh. During this period, the Company also made many contributions to the restoration of the Roads and Bridges projects of the Ministry of Transport. The company has received many titles conferred by the State such as the Third-class Labor Medal (1982), the best emulation unit awarded by the Ministry of Transport (1985).
1985 – 1995 Period
Construction and integration
This is a transition period between subsidy and opening up with many difficulties; however, our projects still follow the plans and targets. During this period, the Company had a strong transformation and was renamed from Bridge Construction Enterprise 25 – under the Union of Construction Enterprises Area 5 to 525 Traffic Engineering Company – under the Traffic Construction Corporation 5 in 1995. Since then, the Company has actively sought project demand to continue such as building a series of bridges on National Highway 1A, Highway 19, upgrading traffic works from Quang Binh to Phu Yen and the Central Highlands provinces. During this period, the Company also received many titles conferred by the State such as the Third-class Labor Medal (1986), the Secondclass Labor Medal (1992).
Reform and development
It was the time the Company implemented key transport infrastructure projects of the Ministry of Transport and the central provinces, including the task of building the Ho Chi Minh route, the western arterial road. Besides, the Company still focused on construction of traffic projects in the vicinity such as Song Dinh bridge, Kien Giang bridge (Quang Binh). During this time, the Company had repeatedly been awarded the Emulation Flag by the General Confederation of Labor and the Ministry of Transport for its achievements in construction and creativity for the collective and many individuals. At the end of 2002, the Company was transformed into a Joint Stock Company, and bravely participated in projects in the South such as Viaducts on the Ho Chi Minh City-Trung Luong Highway, Bridges on the South Song Hau route with the My Thuan Board of Directors as the Investor.
Restructuring and development
This is the mature stage of the company after the equitization of Civil Engineering Construction Joint-Stock Company No. 525, many advanced construction equipment have been invested by the Company to meet the needs of large-scale and advanced construction projects such as the balanced cantilever rig, bored pile drilling equipment, the Super T beam formwork set, the box girder, etc. to meet the needs of the development trend of the traffic construction industry. In 2007, the Company was awarded the First Class Labor Medal by the State for its outstanding achievements in 5 years. The company has become a leader in the reform period, implementing many outstanding projects in the national transport network system such as the Ho Chi Minh City-Trung Luong expressway, Hanoi – Ha Tay railway overpass Dong Nai railway overpass
Acceleration and growth
After 10 years since the equitization, the Company has had a strong transformation to integrate into the
modern trends, to welcome foreign investors and contractors. The company has participated in the construction of works in all regions of the country with all kinds of ODA, ADB, WB or State budget and BOT capital sources of enterprises. The company deployed joint ventures to accompany foreign contractors such as Kumho, Hyundai, Samsung, etc. At that time, the company was bidding for 3 overseas construction projects (in Laos).
